We’re always happy to post about Killing Joke around here. Pylon, the new album, will be out in October on Spinefarm. There’s a PledgeMusic preorder going on, with regular and deluxe (containing bonus tracks) CD and LP, shirts, bundles, and so on.
About the new record, bassist Youth said in a press release, “It’s simple. Stark, brutal industrial suicide. … Heavy and uncompromising, bleak dystopian lyrics, as well as some visionary celebration. Lots of black pain emotion. To be honest, we remain genre blind so our music will always cover a vast spectrum of influences, from disco right through to heavy metal and beyond.”
The guys put out a lyric video for one of the songs on the album:
If you preorder some format of the music, you’ll get a digital download of the song, too.
The band is hitting the road in the UK in support of the album, so over here we’re waiting for the guys to come to the States.
