The intersection of the Linux operating system and guitars

D.U.‘s friend and occasional music colleague “American Dave” Kline started blogging again a couple years ago after being away from it for a long time, and if you’re a Linux user and fan, he might have some words for you.

In his post “Linux for Guitarists: Part One,” he talked about the process he went through to convince himself to start recording his own music himself instead of doing things the traditional way, rehearsing with other people and going into the studio. The post soon dives into technical Linux areas dealing with hardware, software, and recording with that system.

American Dave also talked about the technical challenges of putting his blog back online after so many years in his post “Writing Again,” and if any tech-savvy bands out there are looking for an essay concerning RHEL, WordPress, and Dovecot, that will do the trick.

Now we just have to wait for “Linux for Guitarists: Part Two.”
