Goregrind isn’t D.U.‘s kind of music, but the best of those bands present a good sense of humor. The group Slice! does that, but what makes it unusual is the “clean” vocals from Eli Shaika (see XXX Maniak, Rumplestiltskin Grinder) along with the gurgle vocals usually found in the genre.
Shaika is a charismatic live vocalist, but this Philly-based “deli-themed” band so far does its output from the studio. Check out the group’s two demos on Bandcamp while we wait and see if Slice! is going to hit the stage in the future.
