Roundup of music books: June 2022

It’s always fun to post about music books of different types, and below is the latest of our occasional roundup of books we’ve come across online.

Motörhead: Fast & Loose: Snapshots from the Graham Mitchell Archive, 1977-1982 is a photobook from BMG Books by the band’s manager from the ’70s and ’80s. Check out the promo video below and get it at Amazon.


Speed Metal Kitchen of Doom: Crisix “is a culinary thrash metal journey with over 60 recipes.” The Barcelona band Crisix toured the world and wrote this tour journal that covers the group’s culinary habits on the road. Available in English and Spanish from the band.


Apocalypse 91: Revolution Never Sleeps is a “sequel graphic anthology” of the Public Enemy album Apocalypse 91: The Enemy Strikes Black. There’s a bunch of different bundles and versions of the book at Z2 Comics.


The Residents: A Sight for Sore Eyes, Vol. 1 is a coffee table book about the iconic band, with photos, quotes, and even a 7″ included. Pick it up from Melodic Virtue.
