Disposable Underground blog newsletter: September 8, 2018

Welcome back to the Disposable Underground newsletter. Here’s what’s new at the blog this week.

I’ve written about the band Deceased many times over the years (in an interview for example), so I’m happy to share that the guys are in Oblivion Studios recording a new album, as the studio posted on Facebook

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is only the latest musician to try to get politicians to stop playing their music at rallies. There’s been many before, which I talk about a little at the blog.

For a while it looked like Terrorizer Magazine from the U.K. was dead, but the publication put out a couple of issues again this year. I put together a few details about what’s going on over there.

For a little while I was interviewing musicians about their gear for Clrvynt.com, and here’s the fourth and last piece the site ran: about Tomas Lindberg from At the Gates.

Here’s the first piece I shared, about Greta Brinkman, and then another one on Chepang, and thirdly one about the drummer from Triac.

The featured video at the blog this week is of Taiko Drummers. Years ago I caught this group playing in front of a Japanese restaurant in Washington D.C. It’s one of a few Chinese and Japanese drum troupes up at the blog YouTube channel.

We’ll have more info on what’s new next time. Thanks a lot!
