“The legacy of ’80s college rock” is the tagline of Slicing Up Eyeballs, a website that takes its name from lyrics to “Debaser” by The Pixies. The cool thing about the site is it recently posted a link to a YouTube playlist called “120 Minutes Full Archive,” which the website says is “The entire MTV ‘120 Minutes’ catalog featuring over 2,500 videos.”
I was a big fan of both 120 Minutes (to say nothing of Alternative Nation and Headbangers Ball) back in the day, spending many a late weekend night watching the show, so I took notice when this link, from user Chris Reynolds, made the rounds.
Slicing Up Eyeballs has also taken the time to highlight different segments from 120 Minutes, which is also worth checking out.
