The Brooklyn band World War IX released an EP called Phoning It In and in a unique move put out a comic book, Thank God it’s Monday: The Story of World War IX, to coincide with it.
The band has an early Black Flag/Circle Jerks sound which you can hear by spinning the record (which is up for name your price on digital) on Bandcamp. It’s also available on 10″ vinyl.
The four-issue comic book is also available for purchase from Bandcamp. To give you a sense of what the comic looks like, the video for the EP track “Fired For Partying” was animated by the band’s guitarist, who also created the comic.
