Tracks from Hans Zimmer’s “Dune: Part One” soundtrack released

Hans Zimmer composed the music to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part One and two new cuts from the soundtrack have been posted.

Dune has a big influence in the underground and techno scenes, from band and album names such as Arrakis, Deathstill, Fear is the Mindkiller by Fear Factory, Ghanima by Annihilus, Harkonen, Kwisatz Haderach, Sayyadina, Shai Hulud, Stillsuit, Weirding Way, and the list goes on. So then, let’s check out what Zimmer is serving up.

“Paul’s Dream”

“Ripples in the Sand”

In 2020, an excerpt from a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Eclipse,” which appeared in a Dune trailer, was posted:

The soundtrack is coming out on September 17, 2021 on Water Tower Music. The film is coming out in theaters and streaming on October 22.

(While we’re on the subject, it’s also well worth looking up the soundtrack to David Lynch’s Dune from 1984 which was done by the band Toto.)
