Matt Sharp of The Rentals announced on Twitter earlier this month that he posted four samples from the band’s new track “Another World” from forthcoming album Q36 and invited people to create something new with the material and tweet him with it. The samples are guitar, drums, choir, and synths.
The samples are up on HITRECORD, Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s “collaborative media platform where people make all kinds of creative things together,” as he described it to TechCrunch last year.
The new Rentals album, Q36, is up for preorder on Bandcamp on digital and double LP.
