There’s a few photo books about D.C. hardcore and punk out there, such as Spoke and Frame of Mind and Banned in D.C. Another one is Hard Art, DC 1979.
This latter one is enjoying a second edition, and Jason Hamacher of Lost Origins teamed up with a few other D.C.-area organizations to throw a party for the occasion. Some bands played and the author, Lucian Perkins, as well as contributor Alec MacKaye were on hand to speak and sign copies.
