Prismcast is one of many side projects on which Mitch Harris and Shane Embury of Napalm Death have collaborated over the years.
Simon Orme on guitar and vocals, Harris on guitar, Embury on bass, and drummer Simon Hornblower (this might actually be their name for a drum machine) recorded a 12-track album that originally came out on CD in 2000. To D.U.‘s ears, it mostly has a strong Jane’s Addiction influence with a bit of Smashing Pumpkins added and one track that, with a stretch of the imagination, could have appeared on Napalm’s Diatribes album.
The album is finally available for purchase on Bandcamp via Embury’s Extrinsic Recordings label. It’s recommended listening.
