Friday promo roundup: July 29, 2022

We get a lot of digital promos at the D.U. email address, too many to give proper justice at the blog. To get through them, here’s a quick roundup. Hopefully some of the below items will strike your fancy.

Anti-Flag
will be familiar to fans of political pop-punk. The band is putting out a new album, Lies They Tell Our Children, on January 6, 2023 and it’s up for preorder from Spinefarm. The guys have a new video, below, for “Laugh. Cry. Smile. Die.”

BlackRain
is a French “sleaze rock” band with a new video for “Untamed,” below, which is the title track of the album coming out on November 25, 2022. It’s up for preorder from Steamhammer.


Box
is a metal solo project, but it’s a bit limiting to just call it metal. There’s a lot of variety on the album Cherry Blossoms at Night. The record is out now from Miserable Pyre of Secrets, up for streaming (see below), and is available for purchase at Bandcamp.


David Lee Roth
needs no introduction. He has an ode to Van Halen in a new single, “Nothing Could Have Stopped Us Back Then Anyway,” produced by John 5.


The Effigy
is a project from Australia self-described as gothic alternative with a new single, “Cindersun.” The lyric video is below and you can read the lyrics and grab the track at Bandcamp.


Epoch of Unlight
from Memphis is a death metal band with a new album, At War with the Multiverse, coming out on September 16, 2022 and it’s up for preorder from Dark Horizon Records. The single “An Ameranthine Line” is below (lyrics are available at Bandcamp).


Krisiun
from Brazil is a long-standing death metal band, and the new album Mortem Solis is out now on Century Media. The band has a new lyric video from the album for “War Blood Hammer,” below.

Marena
is a Brazilian heavy metal band with a new album, Voyager, coming out on September 30, 2022 from Lions Pride Music. It’s up for preorder from Catapult Distribution, and “Breaking the Chains” is the new single, below.


Moths
has released a video for “Space Force,” below, from the album of the same name which is coming out on August 12, 2022. It’s up for preorder now from the band, which hails from Puerto Rico.


My Sleeping Karma
is a German “hypnotic rock” instrumental band with a new album, Atma, out now on Napalm Records. The video for the track “Avatara” is below.
