Chuck D of Public Enemy released a statement this month after his group was up for Grammy recognition and the Grammys CEO, Deborah Dugan, was ousted.
The U.K. band Pitchshifter has talked publicly about the current situation with trying to stream the albums it recorded for Earache Records.

A documentary recommendation is Cassette: A Documentary Mixtape, about the guy who invented cassettes and also about cassette music culture, not only for the punks and indie rock but also for hip hop.
