Disposable Underground newsletter for this week: May 11, 2018

Welcome back to the latest Disposable Underground newsletter. Here’s what’s happening at the blog this week, and some other things we hope you find interesting.

We were handed some CDs by Relapse and we have some details about them. The music is mostly death metal (we write a lot about death metal at the blog), but the point is it’s available on physical formats: CD and LP.

The band Virginia Creep (fronted by the singer from Pig Destroyer) played a local show at a record store recently, so we’ll make a clip of their first-ever show our featured video this week.

Now reading: This is the Noise That Keeps Me Awake. Garbage is interviewed about their formation and history. Interesting stuff. You probably need to be a big Garbage fan to really enjoy it, but we’re finding it entertaining.

Now playing: Aftertaste by Helmet. These guys are on tour with Prong right now in the States. According to Wikipedia, this was the last one recorded with the original singer/guitarist, bassist, and drummer. It still stands up.

We’ll have more info on what’s new next time. OK, thanks again for reading!
