Bands are cancelling performances in Russia and Ukraine

Citing Russia’s war against Ukraine, there’s been some high-profile bands that have understandably cancelled their upcoming gigs and tours in those countries, some citing safety reasons and others moral ones.

Conor Lochrie wrote at Tone Deaf that acts as wide ranging as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and Green Day to Slipknot and Iron Maiden have announced their cancellations or at least postponements.

Andrew Limbong wrote at NPR that concert industry company Live Nation will cease all business with Russia.

Placebo and Iggy Pop are skipping the Park Live festival in Moscow. Many bands that are calling off gigs and tours shared a message along the lines of what The Gathering tweeted:
