Skaters protest for Black Lives Matter

Skateboarding and punk rock have been connected for a long time. An early champion of this was Suicidal Tendencies with “Possessed to Skate.” Lately, skaters are participating in another scene, though: Black Lives Matter.

At BlogTo, Tanya Mok wrote about skate protests in Toronto in support of Black Lives Matter. Over at Curbed, Brock Keeling wrote about the Bomb Hills for Black Lives event in San Francisco in support of black skaters. Skate for Peace protests recently went down in several cities as well.
