You might have heard Malcom Gladwell’s “10,000-hour rule” about the amount of practice it takes to master a skill, which sounds like a lot. This is discussed recently in an enlightening Dilbert strip.
Your editor admits he hasn’t been dedicated enough to master the guitar in this way. How about you?
