Hi there:
Holy crap, it’s been over a year since the Disposable Underground blog launched. I appreciate everyone that’s stopped by and read a news piece, interview or music review, or checked out some photos or videos.
Here’s highlights of new content since the last email update:
- Carcass videos on their new album Surgical Steel collected in one post
- List of online metal compilations released to date in 2013
- Interview with Derkéta, the first all-female death metal band
- Review of three albums sharing the same bandmember: Dysrhythmia, Behold… The Arctopus, and Krallice
- Latest edition of J.R. Hayes from Pig Destroyer’s review column.
Disposable Underground covers many types of extreme music including grind, hardcore, metal, punk, industrial, noise, and rock. There’s also discussions on politics from the viewpoint of musicians and columnists. We even ran a few polls.
All of the back issues from when this was a ‘zine are archived online and can be searched by issue or by band name. The content and the live photo gallery full of exclusive shots dates back to 1990. Download any of the ‘zine back issues as a PDF at the archive site.
We’re on Twitter and Tumblr, too.
Thanks very much, and enjoy!
