Dating back to the 1980s in Seattle, WA, Mudhoney is still touring, releasing records and doing their thing with the “Seattle sound” or grunge sound. In fact, Mudhoney is one of the OGs of that scene. The band’s latest full-length record, Vanishing Point, came out in 2013 on Sub Pop, and Mudhoney is in the middle of playing some sporadic shows in the States and Canada.
The band played in Asheville, NC, in August as part of the Harvest Records 10-year anniversary celebration called “Transfigurations II.” D.U. was in town and captured a live clip of the band rocking, taken from our YouTube channel:
