Poll on the new Carcass album

The band has confirmed they’re recording a new record in an interview with Decibel.

Excerpt:

You mentioned that this record is a mix of all five Carcass LPs.

“It is and it isn’t—we’ve taken stylistic cues from all the albums because it’s in our blood, but it’s no rehash or mess of ideas. I think it sounds almost like the missing link between the third and forth albums but with some groove in there.”

If Jeff Walker’s description above of the music is accurate, Carcass fans should be in good shape. Still, even if it is accurate, will it be good? Carcass did well with their reunion tours, but will this record tarnish their good name like Swansong did?

  1. The only bad album of this band is “Swansong”. As long as they stay away from the boredom of that album, I’d say anything else they can do will be great! They were always creative!

Let’s see if they can keep their music dynamic-enough as for making a kick-ass new release! I’m having great expectations about it. Sure, I will check out their songs on YouTube first; but if the new album is killer enough, I will totally buy 1 copy!
