The Other Records, straight outta Helsinki, is the tape label run by Jason Netherton of Misery Index and Asphalt Graves fame. The label’s website says it focuses on “the obscure, the ugly and the transgressive.” And it’s putting out its first tape: The Misery Index album Retaliate. It’s got new cover art and is limited to 200 copies (100 on black tapes and 100 on clear tapes).
At the distro side of the house, The Other Records carries plenty of grindcore and death metal items: CDs, vinyl, shirts, books, zines, and of course tapes.
